Why the output alone fails you
Most students hit the wall at the same spot. You run the test, the software spits out a clean table, and then the assignment asks you to interpret it. The interpretation is worth more than half the marks, and it's exactly the half the software leaves blank. So you copy the output, write "the result is significant," and watch the grade come back low because you never said significant of what, or why that test was the right one to run in the first place.
The chatbots are sneakier about it. They'll produce a paragraph that sounds like an interpretation. It says the model is significant and the variables matter. What it doesn't do is connect the output to the actual research question, note the assumptions you should have checked, or warn you when you picked the wrong test. It reads confident and it's quietly wrong in the way your professor catches instantly.
What a real statistician does
When someone who actually does statistics looks at your assignment, they start further back than the output. They ask what you're trying to learn from the data, then pick the method that answers that question. Parametric or nonparametric. Independent or paired. They run it in the tool your course uses, clean output and all, and then they do the part that actually matters. They tell you what the result means.
That means a sentence like "the difference is statistically significant, so we reject the null, and in plain terms the new treatment lowered readmission rates." Not "p less than 0.05, significant." You can read that out loud in class. You can defend it. When your professor asks why you didn't run a t test instead, you'll know the answer.
